Harvest Celebration this Saturday!

The Hebrews have a community celebration that is called Sukkoth, or the Feast of Booths.  It was a time of bringing the tithes and offerings to God and the community need while also recalling God’s abundant provision for the people while they were wandering in the desert.  In the tradition of such a gathering, all the saints of Good Shepherd are invited to a special Harvest Celebration dinner Saturday night, November 17th at 6 pm!  No special attire, no need to bring anything; just come and enjoy the fellowship which comes from being the people of God!  It has been an amazing stewardship journey, and I am sure there were times that challenged us and stretched us like the ancient desert bound Israelites were stretched! But this dinner lifts up our trust in God, the reminder that we are a community of purpose and gratitude, and that we share an abundant life in Jesus Christ!  Let our celebration be great, for the Lord is with us indeed!  See you on Saturday night at 6 pm!
